Diagnostic Vehicle Technician – Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Are you an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician seeking a rewarding opportunity within a reputable, Independent Garage? Our client is looking to appoint a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their established team in Harpenden. This position offers stimulating work across a broad range of vehicle makes and models, perfect for a Technician with strong diagnostic expertise.
Benefits
* Up to £50,000 basic salary plus performance‑based bonus
* Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30am – 5.30pm
* Every other Saturday morning shift
* Working in a team of 10 Qualified Technicians

Duties as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician
* Diagnosing complex vehicle faults using state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic equipment
* Conducting detailed inspections and thorough assessments of various vehicle systems
* Ensuring all repairs and diagnostics are completed efficiently and to high standards
* Providing technical support and advice to colleagues and customers
* Maintaining accurate repair and diagnostic records
* Working collaboratively within the team to deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician or in a similar position
* Strong technical knowledge across modern automotive systems
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and keen attention to detail
* Relevant industry qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
