We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Registrar to join the existing team. Reporting to the Registrar the successful applicant will be responsible for managing short & long-term loans and acquisitions. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of registrar skills and experience within a U.K. national. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who is organised, has good attention to detail and is a team player.
Responsibilities
Report to the Registrar. Manage short & long-term loans and acquisitions. Develop registrar skills and experience within the UK national museum environment. Work flexibly, be highly organised and self‑motivated, and meet tight deadlines. Engage as an effective professional communicator, building relationships at all levels across the organisation. Work in a hybrid model, being primarily based in Leeds but travelling to Fort Nelson and the Tower of London.
Qualifications
Enthusiastic candidate, organised, detail oriented, team‑player. Ability to work flexibly, highly organised, self‑motivated with proven ability to meet tight deadlines. Effective professional communicator with stakeholder engagement.
Hours
Fixed‑term contract for 12 months, working 36 hours 5/7 days nominally Monday to Friday. The role is hybrid with some office‑based activities as well as remote working.
