Location: Wellingborough and surrounding areas (in-person sessions in homes and community settings)
Hours: Part-time / Flexible

About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutors to deliver Maths and English tuition to children and young people in the Wellingborough area. This role involves supporting learners outside of mainstream school settings, helping them close learning gaps, build confidence, and re-engage with education.
You will provide personalised, child-centred sessions tailored to individual learning needs and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 Maths and English sessions (up to KS3/KS4, depending on experience).
* Adapt lessons to meet the needs of learners with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs.
* Implement effective behaviour management and engagement strategies.
* Monitor student progress and provide clear feedback to parents/carers and the tuition team.
* Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) is preferred; strong tutoring or teaching experience will also be considered.
* Strong subject knowledge in Maths and English.
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally including those with additional needs.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one (support provided).
* Right to work in the UK.
