Regional Storage Lead | Yorkshire As the Storage Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of potato storage. Working closely with the regional Agriculture leadership team, the Director of Agronomy & Applied Research, you will shape and execute the storage strategy. Your contribution will be essential in ensuring a consistent and resilient supply of high-quality potatoes from grower and storage facilities to the factories. The grower base is split between East Anglia, Yorkshire and Herefordshire and you will need to travel within those areas. The Role Drive the Agriculture strategy, encompassing Sustainable Cost Advantage initiatives, expansion of the variety portfolio, and reduction of storage losses. Collaborate with global and regional teams to synchronise storage strategies, initiatives, and key performance indicators, ensuring the efficient implementation of action plans. Engage with regional leadership and stakeholders to optimise storage strategy, mitigating enterprise risk. Actively participate in the digital transformation agenda, leveraging cutting-edge tools to enhance stored potato quality. Lead the development of top-notch storage training programs, empowering the team and grower-partners with the latest techniques. The Candidate We are seeking an individual with experience in managing a substantial volume of potatoes or root vegetables, coupled with a technical background in storage. You must also have experience in potato storage operations and a proactive approach to adopting technological innovations. A talent for driving change and innovation, thriving on pushing boundaries. Proven ability to foster collaboration among cross-functional teams and stakeholders, with exceptional communication skills. Skill in deriving insights from data using state-of-the-art tools, ensuring our strategies remain sharp. You would also ideally be BASIS qualified and have a passion for embracing a digital, data-driven mindset, prioritising customer satisfaction and leveraging the power of data.
