Overview
Come and be a welcoming front of house face for our bustling Veterinary Practice in Greenock. We are a close knit, supportive team providing high quality care to our much loved patients. We value excellent communication skills and the ability to manage phone calls, client payments and manage an emergency situation. 16 hours per week but can be increased; shifts are variable between 8-7pm Monday - Friday and will include some weekends.
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
* Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar
* Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
* Collect and update client information, including medical history and insurance details
* Assist with the administration of client insurance claims
* Process payments for services rendered and provide clients with invoices or receipts
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions, appointments, and medical treatments
Experience and qualifications
* Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
* Knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and medications is a plus
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Excel and Word ability
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners
