We provide accurate and up to date tracking of all parcels, manage all questions and queries and seamlessly handle claims for missing and damaged goods. Our solution has helped many retailers reach customers across the UK and worldwide that were previously out of their reach. We are currently working on an exciting major platform upgrade and are seeking a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join our UK development office to establish an SRE function. About the role The successful applicant will become a part of our Site Reliability Engineering team, charged with designing, building and maintaining the platform and framework that empowers our developers to build and deploy our innovative, market leading software with a focus on security, reliability and velocity. The role is hybrid-based, with three days a week in our new Southampton office to help you get onboard and foster collaboration within the team. Responsibilities include: Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems in conjunction with our development teams Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security Identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements You will be expected to hit the ground running. You are joining a small team with growing responsibilities. You will be working alongside experienced engineers who will guide and assist, but the successful applicant will be expected to get hands on quickly. We expect the successful candidate to be enthusiastic about emerging technology and be self-motivated to learn and develop their skills. You will be experienced in working with in a multi skilled team as you will be collaborating with people across the business from product owners and stakeholders to developers and engineers. We share knowledge and skills across the team and will be looking forward to you sharing yours. Required Skills Foundational Cloud Knowledge, especially Google Cloud Platform, ideally with VPC Networking, GKE and Cloud Run IaC – especially Terraform Troubleshooting and Analytical skills Excellent communication skills Experience of working in a distributed/remote team Useful Skills and Experience VMWare, ideally GCVE Some knowledge of GitOps practices Ability to produce clear documentation Experience with observability platforms such as DataDog
