Structured team leadership role for emotionally driven, high-value Direct to Consumer sales environment

The business supports thousands of customers globally through a high-performing Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sales model built on consultation, education, and urgency-driven decision-making.
Sunlighten is now seeking an Inside Sales Manager to lead and develop its UK Direct to Consumer (DTC) sales team, based from its Great Portland Street W1 office and showroom.
The focus is on bringing structure, performance discipline, consistency, and coaching rigour into a fast-paced, emotionally driven sales environment.
This role is suited to individuals who naturally bring pace, intensity, and commercial focus to sales environments. You enjoy driving outcomes, setting high standards, and creating momentum within a team. You are comfortable working in emotionally driven sales conversations while maintaining discipline around activity, conversion, and results.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop the UK DTC inside sales team, setting clear expectations around activity, conversion, and quality.
* Drive performance through detailed analysis of call data, pipeline health, close rates, and individual KPIs.
* Regularly review live and recorded calls, coaching for improved active listening, questioning depth, urgency, and objection handling.
* Implement consistent sales processes to improve predictability and performance across the team.
* Act as a player-coach where required, maintaining credibility through direct sales involvement.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and ramp-up of new hires within the DTC team.
* Work closely with senior stakeholders to report on performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience leading an inside sales or call-centre-style sales team within a high-volume environment.
* Background in premium, emotionally driven, or consultative sales environments such as luxury retail, wellness, health, or lifestyle products.
* Strong coaching capability with a track record of improving close rates and consistency across mixed-ability teams.
* Commercially disciplined, data-literate, and comfortable holding people accountable.
* Credible player-coach mindset rather than purely administrative leadership.
