We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Services Manager to join the team at Brighton and Hove Clinic to oversee the delivery of high quality, patient centred care.
The successful applicant will be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, AHP or similar) with previous experience working as a Ward Manager or in a similar role and ideally with experience of working with young people, however, this is not essential.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation and contractual requirements.
As Clinical Services Manager you will be an excellent communicator with strong decision‑making ability and organisational skills, and build a positive, supportive team culture grounded in compassion and collaboration, with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach, high professional standards and resilience. You will demonstrate flexibility in meeting service needs.
To be Successful as a Clinical Services Manager you will:
Have strong clinical and management leadership to the clinical and multi-disciplinary team
Oversee the day-to-day delivery of person-centred care
Monitor clinical performance, quality standards and patient outcomes, implementing improvements as necessary
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, policies and standards, including CQC and NHSE
Ensure staffing levels meet the requirements of clinical need
Lead recruitment, retention and workforce development across clinical areas
Manage feedback and complaints
Lead and undertake audits and ensure continuous learning and service development
Ensure that patients have clear plans of care and that these are maintained accurately and reviewed promptly and based on the presentation of the patient
Lead safeguarding practice, incident reviews and demonstrate a culture of inquiry and learning from any adverse events
Ensure effective staff supervision, real‑time performance management and HR compliance
Promote a culture of reflection, learning and continuous improvement
Work collaboratively as part of the Senior Management Team
Deputise for the Hospital Director as required
Participate in the on‑call rota
