Job Duties
* Provide 1:1 support to students in a primary SEN provision setting
* Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans
* Support students with their learning and development
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications
* Minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
Relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience
Experience working in a similar role within a primary school
Knowledge And Skills
* Understanding of special educational needs and how to support students effectively
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children achieve their potential
Preferred Qualifications
* Additional training in SEN support
* First aid certification
Working Conditions
This role involves working in a classroom setting within a primary school. The work may be physically demanding at times, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable in their approach.
