Due to the retirement of a colleague, we are keen tostrengthen our team with a new enthusiastic salaried doctor who has aparticular interest and competency in Primary Care Womens Health.
The successful applicant would be required to work a fullday on a Wednesday and some of Thursday, with flexibility available for theremaining hours.
Main duties of the job
The role involves a mix of duties including standardconsulting, home visits, debriefing resident doctors as well as occasionalresponsibility for processing the post and covering half day on-calls. Therewill be particular emphasis on womens health for the practice.
The post-holder will make themselves available to undertakea variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultationsand queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeatprescriptions, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely manner.

Our multidisciplinary team includes 5 other salaried GPs, 3practice nurses, 3 healthcare assistants, as well as an experiencedadministrative and reception team. Our ARRs roles include a physiotherapist,social prescribers, an occupational therapist, HCA and pharmacists.
As an accredited training practice, we provide education forResident Doctors. Our team of Partners are experienced trainers committed tomentoring the next generation of clinicians.
Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the salariedGP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this willbe dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
* The delivery of highly effective medical care tothe practice population
* The provision of services commensurate with theGMS contract
* Generic prescribing adhering to local andnational guidance
* Effective management of long-term conditions
* Processing of administration in a timely manner,including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associatedadministrative tasks
* Maintain accurate clinical records inconjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
* Working collaboratively, accepting an equalshare of the practice workload
* Adhere to best practice recommended throughclinical guidelines and the audit process
* Contribute to the successful implementation ofcontinuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
* Accept delegated responsibility for a specificarea (or areas) of the QOF
* Attend and contribute effectively to practicemeetings as required
* Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
* Prepare and complete the revalidation process
* Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos ofcontinuing professional development across the practice team
* Support the training of medical students fromall clinical disciplines
* Support the partners in achieving the strategicaims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduceexpenditure
* Encourage collaborative working, liaising withall staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all time

Qualifications
* This role requires a highly skilled and compassionate medical professional committed to delivering excellent primary care within the NHS framework. Medical Degree: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or equivalent medical qualification from a recognised university. GMC Registration: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a current Licence to Practise. Familiar with the use of the following systems: SystmOne, ICE, Microsoft Office GP Register: Included on the GMC GP Register. CCT/CEGPR: Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice or Certificate Confirming Eligibility for GP Registration (CEGPR). National Performers List: Included on or eligible for inclusion on the National Medical Performers
