CANPACK is a leading manufacturer of aluminium beverage cans. We have the latest manufacturing equipment and control technology. We are able to produce very high quality cans in 15cl, 25cl, 33cl, 44cl and 50cl sizes (other size cans are made within CANPACK Group).
This position involves working Monday - Friday, 8am to 4pm

The duties of this post include:
· Milling machine and lathe operation (day-to-day).
· Operating grinding/slotting (or other) workshop machines (in substitution/occasional).
· Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies. Comply with all requirements as stipulated in ISO and BRC standards implemented in CPUK.
· Manufacturing spare parts for the plant machinery.
· Regeneration of used spare parts or assemblies.
· Participating in component and assembly improvement activity.
· Participating in repairs of production or auxiliary equipment.
· Taking care of/being responsible for assigned tools and equipment to appropriate 5S standards.
· Read and interpret engineering/technical drawings, documentation, standards.
· Use and maintain in good condition relevant measuring equipment and tools.
· Participate in preventive/predictive maintenance schedules & programs.
· Co-operate with other departments and maintenance sections.
· Participate in implementation of WCM practices or other CPUK systems.
· Report the progress of performed tasks (WIERA/Infor MES)
· Always use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Comply with all Site regulations, rules, procedures, and policies.
· Assisting in the training of CPUK employees and where applicable persons external to CPUK i.e. agency workers and/or contractors.
· Perform other such duties of a similar nature as from time to time may be required including any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Specific Knowledge of the following is desirable:
· Basic level technical drawing, Knowledge of the technological process, Milling machine operation, Familiar with health and safety and fire precaution regulations.
· Precise, Manual skills, Organisations skills, Communication skills, Flexible, Working on own initiative, reliable.
