SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Position

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackley to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role beginning after the Easter break. This position is ideal for someone passionate about helping pupils with Special Educational Needs access learning, grow in confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
* Contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Help create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external agencies to track and support pupil progress
* Adapt support strategies to meet evolving pupil needs
What We’re Looking For
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Previous experience working with children with SEN
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
* Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
