Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Manchester.
Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), including those with SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasing support for children with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We seek SEN / SEND tutors with a passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Manchester.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, using creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approaches to significantly improve their educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting these young people in their educational and social-emotional development via flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks And Responsibilities
* Planning engaging and needs-based sessions
* Providing holistic support that advances educational and social-emotional growth
* Completing lesson reports and giving feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK; remote roles require UK residence

SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments
* Paid via PAYE; no set work amount or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers your work; this is not a self-employed position
