We are seeking an Electrical Panel Wiring and Testing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wiring, assembling, and testing electrical control panels to ensure they meet industry standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements. This role requires a solid understanding of wiring diagrams, and testing procedures.
Responsibilities
Wiring and Assembly
* Interpret and follow wiring diagrams and layout drawings
* Assemble electrical control panels, enclosures and sub assemblies according to design specifications
* Perform point-to-point wiring, routing and bundling of wires and cables inside control panels
* Mount components, including RCBOs, MCBs and contactors using hand and power tools
Testing and Quality Assurance
* Conduct continuity, insulation resistance and functional tests on assembled panels
* Verify correct wiring connections, component functionality and overall system performance
* Trouble shoot and resolve wiring component issues during testing
* Document test results
Collaboration and Communication
* Work closely with other team members to address design changes or modifications
* Provide feedback on potential improvements to wiring procedures, panel layout or component selection
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proficient in electrical panel assembly to include components and wiring techniques (preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment)
* Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with hand and power tools
* Knowledge of electrical three phase and single phase supplies
* Previous warehouse experience, demonstrating an understanding of logistics and inventory management
* Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in testing electrical systems and commitment to producing high-quality work
