CLINICAL VASCULAR SCIENTIST - BAND 7
We are looking to recruit one full time (1.0 WTE) Clinical Vascular Scientist or Vascular Sonographer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team of Clinical Vascular Scientists, Laboratory Assistant and Administrator in the Vascular Laboratory, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Responsibilities
The Laboratory carries out a wide range of vascular investigations including carotid, aorta, upper and lower limb arterial and venous assessments, graft surveillance, imaging of endovascular aneurysms repair and DVT assessments. We also support a well‑established outpatient clinic which runs from the Vascular Unit and we have close links to the AAA screening programme.
The Vascular Laboratory team works closely with the Vascular Consultants and Service Management Team, Consultant Radiologists, and Vascular Nurse Specialist Consultant as part of a multidisciplinary team.
CPD is actively supported as is the inclusion of all team colleagues in the ongoing development of the service.
Whilst this is a full‑time position, we will consider applications for part‑time hours as well as applicants from individuals who are nearing the end of their post‑graduate studies.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
