Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a SEND school in South Tyneside.
Pupils at the school range in age from 2 to 19 and have a wide range of SEND needs, including severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs. The school has a warm and welcoming ethos, supported by a dedicated and committed team who ensure that every pupil is encouraged and supported to reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
The normal working pattern is Monday–Friday 8:30–16:30.

The successful candidate will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
* Have experience working with SEND or vulnerable groups
* Assist pupils in lessons and activities
* Be flexible and resilient, meeting the diverse needs of students
* Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support
* Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities
* Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit students of different abilities
