Our client, a leading training provider in the education sector, is currently seeking an Apprenticeship Assessor - Chef to join their dynamic team. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely, from home, with some travel required to assess and support learners at their workplaces. Key Responsibilities:
* Assessing learners' progress and performance in the workplace
* Providing coaching on the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for apprenticeship standards
* Supporting learners in achieving their NVQ qualifications in Hospitality
* Maintaining up-to-date records of learners' progress and achievements
* Liaising with employers to ensure learners receive appropriate on-the-job training
* Attending regular training and CPD sessions to maintain occupational expertise
* Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Job Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality
* Extensive vocational experience in high-end establishments (Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie)
* Experience in preparing, cooking, and finishing a wide range of fresh, seasonal dishes
* Experience in both front of house and back of house roles
* Proficiency in preparing freshly cooked foods using various techniques, such as boning and filleting
* Ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and adhere to strict deadlines
* Strong communication and self-motivation skills
* Ability to work autonomously and independently manage workload
Desirable Skills:
* Level 3 Teaching qualification
* NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery
* BTEC Level 3 in Hospitality Management
* Experience in the work-based learning or education environment
