We are seeking
a proactive and experienced Administrative Assistant to support several research groups within the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME), with a primary focus on the CHI Lab and the Tissue Engineering Group. This is a permanent position based at the Old Road Campus in Headington, involving comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to Professor Cui, as well as PA support to another senior academic when required. While this is a full-time role, we are open to considering part-time arrangements for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
About The Role
You will act as the first point of contact for Professor Cui, members of the research group, students, staff, visitors, including international visitors. You will liaise with HR to ensure visit approvals are obtained and arrange programs or meetings as needed. Under the guidance of the IBME Office Manager, you will assist with institute-wide administrative tasks, working closely with PAs, Research Group Administrators, and the Institute's administrative staff.
About You
You should have experience managing administrative processes, including arranging complex travel, meetings, and seminars. The ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines is essential, along with strong attention to detail. You should also possess strong computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and experience with financial information systems is advantageous.
