Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Store Manager to lead our popular Chinese hot pot / Malatang restaurant in Oxford. Fluent in Chinese (spoken & written) is essential for this role, as it is crucial for communicating with Chinese-speaking staff, understanding Chinese food ingredients and better catering to Chinese customers. The ideal candidate will also have strong English communication skills, solid restaurant management experience, and a good understanding of UK catering regulations. You will be responsible for daily store operations, team management, customer service, and business performance
Responsibilities
* Oversee all daily operations of the restaurant to ensure high-quality food, service, cleanliness and efficiency
* Manage, train, schedule and lead a team of catering staff
* Ensure full compliance with UK food hygiene, health & safety, employment and fire safety regulations
* Control inventory, stock ordering, food waste, costs and daily/weekly reporting
* Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional manner
* Work closely with suppliers and maintain good business relationships
* Achieve sales targets and improve overall restaurant performance
* Maintain brand standards and create a comfortable dining experience for customers
* Manage rotas, payroll records and daily cash handling procedures
Qualifications
•Fluent in English (spoken & written) for daily communication, management and customer service
* Fluent in Chinese (spoken & written) is essential, as it is required for communicating with Chinese-speaking staff, understanding Chinese food ingredients and catering to Chinese customers
* Proven working experience as a Store Manager / Restaurant Supervisor in the UK catering industry
* Knowledge of UK food hygiene standards (HACCP / Food Safety Level 3 preferred)
* Experience in Chinese restaurants, fast food or casual dining is highly desirable
* Strong leadership, time management and problem solving skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and flexible to peak business hours
* Eligible to work full-time in the UK (valid visa / right to work)
