Then you might just be the perfect fit for Storyboard, the events space at Holiday Inn Shepperton. We are seeking a dynamic and driven proactive business development manager to join our team.
Storyboard isnt just a venue its a blank canvas where memories are made, weddings that sparkle, conferences that inspire, and celebrations that people talk about for years to come. Now, were looking for a passionate Sales person to help us grow our story.
In this exciting and highly visible role, you will be responsible for proactively driving both event and room sales, nurturing new and existing client relationships, and increasing awareness and uptake of our innovative Storyboard offering. You will work closely with the on-property reactive sales team to collaboratively bring about success.
This is a hotel-based role, but one that requires you to be out and about meeting clients, hosting site visits, attending networking events, and generating business opportunities both locally and further afield. Youll need to be confident, engaging, and above all, target-driven with a strong passion for sales and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively sell and promote the Storyboard Meetings & Events product to corporate and agency clients.
Bring in new business across weddings, dry hires, celebrations, and corporate events.
Be the face of Storyboard hosting tours, building trust, and getting clients excited about their big day.
Nurture relationships from first hello to final toast.
Smash sales targets (and celebrate when you do!).
Work together with our reactive and operational events team to ensure show-stopping occasions.
Attend relevant trade shows, networking events, and industry gatherings.
What are we looking for?
A people person with energy, confidence, and creativity.
Some experience in sales or events but more importantly, a drive to succeed.
Someone who thrives on targets, deadlines, and a buzzing events calendar.
A team player with an eye for detail and a love of hospitality.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel is essential).
