The Role
You will play a vital role in supporting young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs in the Motherwell and Wishaw communities.
The majority of your time will be spent in the community, engaging in activities such as clubs, swimming, gym, bowling, cinema, and visits to the pub. Some individuals may also be studying at college, and you'll support them to attend their courses. Confidence in water is required, as swimming is a regular activity.
You will also assist with daily living tasks, including appointments, shopping, meal planning, cooking, housework, finances, medication, and personal care.
About You
We value transferable skills and our recruitment focuses on values. No previous care experience or qualifications are necessary; we will provide training and cover costs for your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and SSSC registration fees.
A full UK manual driving licence is essential, as the role involves supporting individuals with their mobility cars.

Shift Patterns
We offer flexible shifts between 08:30 and 21:00, including sleepovers, on a rota that aims to give you every second weekend off. Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours, tailored to you and the individual supported.

Additional Information
If you've spent over 12 months outside the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain) in the last 10 years after turning 18, you'll need to provide a criminal record certificate.
If hired, you will join the PVG scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare for SSSC registration, which must be completed within 3 months of employment.
