Assistant Service Manager Needed in Warwickshire Location: Leamington Spa
1. Salary: Basic Salary circa £37,000 depending on experience + bonus
2. Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm with 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota
3. Holidays: 24 days annual leave (increasing with service)
Our client, a well-established independent garage, is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee their busy workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional team in a supportive work environment, focused on delivering high-quality customer service.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the workshop, ensuring the smooth running of operations and maintaining high standards of service.
Key responsibilities as an Assistant Service Manager:
4. Distribute work to Technicians and ensure tasks are completed within set time frames and quality standards.
5. Communicate with Customers and Service Advisors to keep them informed about the status of their vehicles.
6. Generate customer quotes and invoices promptly.
7. Organise and adapt the workshop’s work schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
8. Track and oversee the completion of workshop activities.
9. Provide technical guidance to the team when needed.
What's required from you:
10. Direct experience in managing a workshop team is advantageous.
11. Strong, hands on technical knowledge of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
12. Skilled at juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
13. Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality.
14. Strong communication abilities and customer service skills.
15. A full driving licence is required.
