Senior Finance Officer | Bolton | Full time | Permanent | Up to £44,000 DOE
Monday to Friday 37 hours per week (8am to 5pm Mon – Thu, 8am to 12noon Fri)
We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our manufacturing client based in the Bolton area.
You will be…
* Overseeing the purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
* Providing working capital management and cashflow forecasts
* Controlling weekly supplier and expense payment runs in line with the cashflow forecast
* Conducting credit control, reducing aged debt
* Preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting entries
* Administering all month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Processing payroll, including salaries and deductions, communicating closely with the payroll provider
* Maintaining precise payroll records and ensuring data confidentiality
* Providing supervision to members of the finance team
* Supporting the year-end audit process
* Playing an active role in delivering key Finance projects
You will have…
* Relevant qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, part-qualified, or qualified by experience)
* Experience with Sage50 and Progress Plus is highly desirable
* Experience working in a manufacturing business is highly desirable
* Strong communication skills across all levels of internal and external business
* Proficient in written, verbal, and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Proactive and able to work independently, setting and monitoring workloads and targets
