?? Job Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Permanent) Location: Ballymena Hatcheries ?? Department: Engineering ?? Reports to: Maintenance Manager About the Role We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team at Ballymena Hatcheries. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in ensuring production targets are met through effective technical support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of equipment performance and reliability. You'll be involved in managing installation projects, contractor coordination, and supporting both mechanical and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities Manage installation work and oversee contractors on-site Maintain and repair hatchery machinery and vehicles Monitor energy usage via BMS software Conduct fault finding and re-engineering of equipment Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules Carry out statutory inspections Work across mechanical and electrical systems Support spare parts management and stock control Provide call-out support across both hatchery sites Perform any other reasonable duties as required What We're Looking For Essential: Time/Skill-served in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines Strong aptitude for diagnosing and solving technical issues Experience with fault finding on automated machinery Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Excellent reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong time management and initiative Desirable: Experience with poultry processing machinery Background in Food or Agri Processing industries Decision-making capability and leadership potential Health & Safety Commitment You'll be expected to uphold the highest standards of health and safety, including safe working practices, reporting hazards, and setting a positive example for others on site.
