The main responsibilities of this role are to provide comprehensive technical support for Oleon Ltd.'s IT infrastructure, applications, and user base at the Northallerton and Goole sites. This includes delivering local IT technical support as part of a highly skilled team, ensuring exceptional levels of availability, performance, and security. Support for the Goole site is primarily remote, with occasional travel required.
Some of your main duties & responsibilities:
* Support IT systems at Northallerton and Goole, ensuring IT and electronic communication infrastructure availability for all employees.
* Configure and deploy new computer and shop floor hardware and software, including ongoing maintenance.
* Provide Level 1-2 Service Desk support, assisting end users with technical issues and incident root cause analysis, escalating tickets as necessary.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot problems and outages.
* Maintain system and equipment security by adhering to group security policies and standards.
* Perform server monitoring and reporting, ensuring system availability and reliability through daily checks.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, liaising with third-party suppliers to resolve problems within agreed SLAs.
* Develop and maintain technical support processes, user manuals, and other documentation to support service delivery and handover processes.
* Administer Oleon Ltd. systems and applications, including Tropos ERP (internal training provided).
* Conduct data control activities to support business efficiency, growth, and development.
* Provide support to IT projects as needed, in line with business requirements.
You'll succeed if:
You have:
* 2+ years of experience in an IT support role.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with fault finding experience & knowledge.
* Sound knowledge of Windows 10 & 11 operating systems.
* Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Desktop O/S based environments.
