Overview
Oxford Instruments Andor, a global leader in high‑performance light measuring solutions, is looking for a Physicist to join the Product Engineering Team in Belfast.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide optical expertise across Andor’s product portfolio, including spectrographs, microscopy systems, instruments and cameras.
* Deliver optical technical support to product management, product support, quality engineering, customer returns, production NCP support and the supply chain.
* Lead and deliver product enhancement projects such as image sensor and optical instrument optimisation, root‑cause analysis of recurring issues and product quality testing strategy.
Qualifications
* BSc or MSci (or higher) in Physics, Electronic Engineering, Opto‑Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, with 3 years relevant experience; or a National Diploma (or equivalent) with 5 years experience.
* Relevant experience may include PhD studies.
Location & Working Conditions
Position is based at the Belfast headquarters, full‑time onsite.
