Senior Procurement Manager - Strategy, Governance & Excellence £80,000 - £90,000 + Car Allowance & Bonus | UK-Based (Flexible/Remote) | Global Scope We are partnered with a leading engineering & manufacturing organisation currently undergoing a transformative shift in its global procurement model. This strategically vital appointment will shape the future of procurement across international manufacturing sites (EMEA, Americas, and Asia), within a centre-led but decentralised framework. About the Role As Senior Procurement Manager - Strategy, Governance & Excellence, you will act as the right hand to the Global Head of Procurement Transformation. This is not a transactional procurement role - it's a strategic governance and excellence function focused on defining, implementing, and embedding global procurement processes that will raise maturity and consistency across a complex matrix. You will lead key initiatives around: Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), segmentation and strategic sourcing reviews Global Category Management, with a deep focus on commodity management Building governance structures, KPI dashboards, and process standards across sites Bringing cohesion to disparate procurement practices - without enforcing uniformity Zooming in and out of complex procurement landscapes and stakeholder environments You'll influence globally, working with dotted-line teams and a broader global procurement community of 60+. This is a highly visible and strategically important role with clear leadership potential and a pathway to more senior opportunities. Who my client is looking for: Seeking someone with a global mindset and a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on delivery - someone who can roll up their sleeves yet drive change across cultures and time zones. Must-haves: Significant experience in procurement, ideally within global category management and procurement excellence Proven track record in procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, SRM, and governance Strong grasp of procurement operating models, ISO/QMS, and KPI frameworks Comfortable influencing in a matrixed and decentralised structure A natural collaborator with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills Nice-to-haves: Background in both direct and indirect procurement Exposure to complex or low-data environments Prior experience working in engineering, industrial, or manufacturing sectors Culture & Working Style This is not a corporate machine. The organisation champions strong values - safety, customer focus, collaboration - and is looking for someone who can influence softly, listen actively, and drive change without bulldozing. You'll need to be comfortable working with multiple cultures, senior stakeholders, and differing maturity levels in procurement. Remote-first approach, ideally aligned to a UK time zone, with the flexibility to engage globally as needed. What's on Offer Basic Salary - £80,000 - £90,000 Bonus + Car Scheme (or equivalent cash option) Medical insurance & standard benefits Clear pathway into leadership - future potential to build and lead a team Exceptional opportunity to leave a legacy in a function on the cusp of global transformation Apply in confidence. This is a unique opportunity to shape a global procurement function during a pivotal transformation - combining strategic thinking with execution, in a supportive, values-led environment.
