 
        
        Host and Catering Assistant | Part Time | Permanent |Methley – LS26
Spire Methley Park are currently recruiting for a Host and Catering Assistant to join the catering team on a part time, permanent basis. 
 1. Part time of 30hrs per week (days to be discussed)
 2. You will be required to work across the catering, ward and kitchen departments
 3. Shift patterns are between 8am-4pm and one weekend in 3 is required
Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. At Spire Methley Park Hospital caring for our patients is at the heart of what we do. We provide expert medical care in our modern, well-equipped hospital for all of our patients.
Duties and responsibilities
 4. To work in close liaison with the clinical staff, understanding the special needs of the hospital on a day to day basis
 5. To be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the equipment provided, checking for faults and supply shortages and reporting them to the line manager
 6. Compliance with all Health and Safety at Work regulations including COSHH
 7. Work with guidance on moving and handling, as identified in corporate and local policy and discussed at Mandatory training sessions.
 8. Quality assurance and patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
 9. Using your previous waitressing / waiting experience, you will ensuring meals and beverages are delivered to patients’ rooms
 10. Responding to any ad-hoc requests from patients to ensure their comfortable stay
 11. Assisting the catering and housekeeping teams with day-to-day duties
Who we're looking for
 12. A customer service-focused approach
 13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 14. Previous experience in hospitality 
 15. Able to work as part of a team
 16. Willing and able to complete mandatory training for COSSH, Manual Handling, Infection Control and Health & Safety in-house
 17. Ability to take patient meal orders and serve them accordingly
