Senior Sales Engineer – Offshore / Marine / Civil Engineering UK

Leading Engineering Company – Specialist engineers to the energy & marine sector. Seeking experienced sales engineer with strong knowledge of UK installation contractors for marine, offshore and near‑shore heavy civil engineering.

* Experienced sales engineer with knowledge of the Marine / Offshore / Near‑shore Equipment sector – ideally in heavy civil or T&I.
* Background in Civil, Structural, Naval or Mechanical engineering.
* Excellent mix of engineering, commercial and sales abilities.
* Excellent opportunity to enter the Offshore Wind sector.


THE COMPANY:

Specialists in offshore equipment design and build – offshore wind, tidal, wave, marine, O&G.

Projects include the design & build of equipment for large‑scale T&I of offshore wind turbines: stress, FE, loads modelling, sea fastening, HLIV, pile grippers. A fast‑growing, innovative and exciting company offering excellent technical and personal development opportunities.


The Role

A leading commercial role for an engineering specialist in equipment design, transportation and installation for the offshore/marine environment.

Senior sales role for a Civil / Structural / Naval / Mechanical engineer with a heavy civil background – ideally with experience in Marine / Offshore / Near‑shore T&I.

Capable of preparing sales proposals, identifying growth markets and developing a sales strategy for a leading engineering consultancy.

This is a wide‑ranging, lead role mixing business development, strategy and sales.

Note: sales experience in large‑scale heavy civil / structural engineering for offshore/marine environments is advantageous.


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

* Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
* Marine / Offshore engineering experience.
* Heavy civil / structural / mechanical engineering in a marine / offshore environment.
* Excellent communicator: written, chairing meetings, presentations and client‑facing skills.


Advantages:

* Offshore energy transportation & installation (O&G / wind turbine T&I).
* Experience with equipment used in the installation, transportation, lifting of large heavy steel structures (e.g. jackets / monopiles).
* Excellent network within the energy sector to develop new business.
* Business development / commercial management experience.
* Knowledge of certification agencies such as DNV‑GL, Lloyds Register and Bureau Veritas.

Essential to have sales engineering experience in marine / offshore – ideally heavy civil, equipment design, transportation or installation.

Technical/Engineering degree – preferably Marine, Structural, Civil or Mechanical.
