Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to advance their career.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on the bill of materials and engineering specifications; liaise with design engineers on alternatives and variations.
3. Purchase equipment in compliance with budget and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors for fabrication or assembly, ensuring correct revisions.
5. Visit subcontractors' premises to coordinate and review production processes.
6. Coordinate with the design team to meet specifications and perform quality checks prior to handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are documented and snags are cleared before products leave for site.
8. Coordinate site preparation activities including surveys, haulage, safety documentation, lifting, resources, testing, and client handover.
9. Manage project schedules, documentation, and communication with clients and project participants.
10. Handle contract management tasks such as producing responses to compensation events and early warning notices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification with experience in a related discipline.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel across the UK for projects.
