Business Development Manager
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid/Flexible)
Salary: £50,000-£75,000 base + performance-related bonus (OTE £75,000-£100,000, subject to final confirmation)
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a full-time hybrid position based in or around Newcastle upon Tyne, though the location is flexible depending on the candidate's experience and seniority.
This role will suit someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is confident driving business growth independently while building meaningful relationships across the financial services landscape.
The firm operates under full FCA authorisation and has a strong reputation for balancing long-term growth with robust risk management.
Key Responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:
Identify and secure new business opportunities across the UK
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy
Prepare and deliver presentations tailored to different audiences
Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with prospective clients
Collaborate with internal teams to align on strategic business goals
Key Requirements as a Business Development Manager:
Proven success in business development, sales, or client relationship roles within financial services
Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand investment propositions
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid/remote setup
Solid understanding of market research and strategy development
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field
Knowledge of FCA regulations and investment industry standards is advantageous
