Trainee / Experienced Role
Summary of Role
Reporting to the Works Manger.
Responsible for planning, purchasing and monitoring of materials to ensure manufacturing and delivery targets are achieved.
The continual monitoring and assessment of supplier's quality and service.
The preparation, process and data entry of material issued to the works.
To participate in the development and implementation of production improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing
Monitor costs of materials and seek multiple quotes for supply to deliver onging cost savings.
Ensure materials are ordered correctly, checking of delivery notes and invoices.
Identify longer lead time materials and act to reduce potential issues.
Monitor delivery times to ensure target dates are achieved.
Build and develop relationships with suppliers.
Continually monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance.
Programming
Work with the drawing office to receive material lists on time.
Importation of material part files into specified software, check and allocate to required machines.
Work closely with production staff and understand their requirements.
Continually monitor, evaluate, and improve material issuing and machine performance.
Be the point of contact for WHE staff and suppliers for queries and issues with materials.
Other
To assist with planning, monitoring, updating and improving the works programming.
To assist with and monitor requirements and place orders for production materials.
To record and monitor paint applications through relevant software.
To assist with and improve where possible the transport booking system.
To assist with and improve where possible the recording of quality data and control sheets within the production process.
To assist with and gain understanding of WHE H&S policies and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
