As an Assistant Manager, you will report into the General Manager of an fantastic pub. This could be your first step up from a supervisory role or your next challenge as a current AM. We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and enthusiastic Assistant Manager with exceptionally high standards and a true passion for great drinks, food and people. Assisting in leading from the front, helping run all the operations whilst delivering a consistent high food & drink quality with exceptional service. You will work alongside the management team in the organising, growing and day-to-day operations of your pub, having a real say in all decisions. Only using the best suppliers in a well-equipped pub all alongside a real work life balance. You should set the tone of the business and lead by example by driving guest service excellence & creating a positive experience for all your guests and team alike. Everyone in the team will look to you for inspiration & leadership. This role is ideal for an ambitious manager looking for a career within the group with a real opportunity for career progression.

About the role:
You will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the pub, working closely with the management team to create an excellent guest experience
Alongside the General Manager you will lead from the front and work side by side with team members to achieve the goals of the Company which are critical to the success of this role
Assist in recruiting, developing, retaining and recommending promotion of star individuals supervising the performance of each team member
Ensure that the team is productive and that the shifts run smoothly, you will have to think on your feet when problems arise and come up with innovative solutions that minimise the impact on the team, the business and guests alike
Take ownership of issues and manage them to a successful resolution
Have a commercial awareness with an understanding of the competition in which your pub operates and be able to nurture this, to be successful
Monitor and control stock levels to achieve budgeted targets
Qualifications and Key Attributes:
Working proficiency in English is essential
Previous experience in a supervisor role or higher
Positive, can-do mentality
