Overview
We are a design-led upholstery studio based in High Barnet, London, renowned for our work with high-profile clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced upholsterer to join our team on a short-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-volume project with excellent rates and accommodation expenses covered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Reupholstering approximately 30 sofas and 400 chairs to a high standard.
* Utilizing advanced upholstery techniques to meet project specifications.
* Cutting and sewing fabric using industrial sewing machines with precision and efficiency.
* Managing time effectively to meet tight delivery schedules while maintaining exceptional quality.
* Working independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in upholstery, particularly in commercial environments.
* Expertise in upholstery techniques, including cutting and sewing on industrial machines.
* Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
* Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
* The ability to work independently is essential.
Day-to-Day
* Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and timelines.
* Prepare materials and fabrics for reupholstery, ensuring precision in cutting and sewing.
* Execute upholstery tasks with a focus on quality and efficiency.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and productivity.
* Communicate progress and any challenges to the project manager as needed.
* Competitive hourly rate of £20 per hour for the right candidate.
* Accommodation expenses covered for the duration of the contract.
