Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work to enrich the lives of people with various care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re proud of what we do.
We have grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services across England and Scotland, based on principles of choice, dignity, and respect, aligned with our vision ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We value our people. Our Support Workers are passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for those we support, and in return, we invest in pay, recognition, wellbeing, and professional development. We provide training, support, PPE, and career development opportunities.
About the Role & Support:
If you are positive, motivated, and love helping others, a Support Worker role with us could be your next step! Based in Peterhead, we support vulnerable adults to live independently through person-centred support, including personal care, medication, financial support, community activities, and social engagement. We seek flexible individuals willing to support activities and promote independence, working some weekends, full-time or part-time.
Our Values & Candidate Qualities:
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and experience in mental health, autism, sensory communication, and physical health. If you lack a qualification, relevant social care experience is required.
You should connect well with people, be passionate about independence, and willing to mentor colleagues. We will develop your skills through specialist training, including Positive Behaviour Support, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.
During recruitment, you'll meet the people we support in their homes to understand their personalities and needs. Sharing our core values—We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable—is essential. We look for patience, empathy, compassion, a strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, determination, problem-solving skills, and resilience.
