Those Huge Small Victories: Our teachers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people. We celebrate the little things and recognise that, for some pupils, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories.
Get out what you put in: You’ll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but the huge small victories you achieve will be something you’re proud of.
Support and environment: As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you’ll receive support from in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals. Colleagues will be highly skilled, and school environments well-resourced; you’ll have support every step of the way to build a rewarding teaching career.
School context: Hilden Park School is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art school catering primarily for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s and Speech, Language and Communication needs. The school educates up to 72 children aged 8 to 16, serving Tonbridge and wider communities with a focus on outstanding pupil progress and care.
What we do for you: We reward you with a competitive salary and a benefits package in the education sector, including induction and on-the-job training, holidays, progression opportunities, flexible benefits, pension options, wellbeing tools, medical cover and a range of other benefits. Our aim is to enable you to bring learning to life and to make a genuine difference to our young people.
Bring your whole-self to work: Our Young People come from diverse backgrounds and needs. You’ll be more than an English teacher; you’ll connect with pupils and support their growth.
