This role requires working 24/7, with flexible hours, weekends, and participation in an on-call rota. Full training, PPE, and equipment will be provided to ensure all drainage engineers can perform to high standards, regardless of background or experience.
Position Details
* Role: Van Pack Drainage Engineer
* Location: Kidlington Depot, Thames Valley (Kidlington, Oxfordshire)
* Type: Permanent, full-time
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours, plus every other weekend
* Salary: £37,000 per annum (including basic pay, overtime, on-call allowance, and bonuses)

Role Responsibilities
* Travel to residential sites, operate high-pressure water jets for drain restoration
* Maintain and clear drainage systems
* Accurately record job reports using specialist equipment
* Run diagnostics and repair drains
* Provide excellent customer service
* Follow health and safety practices, including PPE and site safety
* Manage vehicle stock and replenish supplies
* Utilize platforms like VISTEC and Salesforce
* Work independently in all weather conditions, using lone worker systems
* Assess site risks and liaise with clients about processes
* Support colleagues and conduct safety inspections
* Report equipment defects and perform risk assessments
* Adhere to company policies and undertake additional tasks as needed
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and safety-conscious. Experience with high-pressure jetting is advantageous but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA, Confined Spaces) are a plus. A full UK manual driver’s license is required.
