Eligibility & Qualifications
* Medically qualified with full GMC registration.
* Existing NTN/NTN(A) in Cardiology.
* PhD/DPhil/MD submitted or held at time of application (candidate must have submitted PhD/MD; otherwise not considered).
* Experience in immune‑inflammatory mechanisms of cardiovascular disease.
* Must hold or have submitted a PhD/DPhil/MD at the time of application and be of the standing required for an appropriate honorary contract of service with the NHS LETB (specialist trainee/LETB).
* Must be fully eligible to work in the UK.
Contract
* Fixed‑term appointment up to 4 years or until obtaining CCT, subject to any extension of up to 24 months granted by NHSE.
* Integrated appointment between University and the relevant NHS Trust/Body.
* Honorary Clinical Contract with NHS Trust; termination of one contract terminates the other.
* Requires GMC registration, Licence to Practice, and Medical Defence Cover for the duration of appointment.
Salary
* StR £46,675 pa – £80,081 pa.
* Nodal £52,656 pa – £73,992 pa (ST3 and above).
