A prominent US Law firm is looking for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join their in-house Team in their London office.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, with a particular emphasis on software-as-a-service (SaaS) and other technology-related contracts.
Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Lawyer role:
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, particularly SaaS, IT, and technology-related agreements.
* Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risk, commercial issues, and regulatory implications.
* Advise on intellectual property rights, licensing, and usage in the context of commercial arrangements.
* Support the wider Risk team on policy development, risk assessments, and internal governance.
* Collaborate with global colleagues across legal, procurement, IT, and professional support teams.
* Assist with training initiatives to enhance commercial and regulatory awareness across the firm.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified lawyer (UK or common law jurisdiction).
* Strong experience working with commercial, SaaS, technology, and IP-related contracts—ideally gained in a law firm.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* A proactive, commercially minded approach with strong attention to detail.
