BESS Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager – Stirling / Glasgow
Eden Scott are pleased to be supporting their consultancy client with the appointment of a Project Manager to join their Battery Storage Team. This position has been created as a result of further expansion and suits someone with good BESS and Pre Construction / Construction experience.
The role can be based from either the Glasgow or Stirling offices 3 days per week.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The focus of the role is to deliver consultancy services in relation to procurement, construction and commissioning of grid-scale energy storage systems. This is a rapidly growing business area for our client alongside their wind and solar activities. The role sits within a wider team of energy storage technology and market experts and will involve a combination of desk-based and site-based work.
Supporting pre-construction and construction phase services for energy storage projects, drawing on expertise from the wider team where required. A typical scope could involve assisting with the specification and procurement of a client’s energy storage scheme or acting as Resident Engineer, or Project Manager for a project during the construction and commissioning phase.
Assisting clients and colleagues with technical and design queries.
Preparing specifications or Employer’s Requirements for an energy storage scheme.
Assisting clients and colleagues with supplier and contractor negotiations for BESS, BoP or EPC contracts.
Preparing reports to monitor construction progress and quality.
Interacting proactively with colleagues, clients, contractors and other project stakeholders (e.g. grid), demonstrating the ability to manage complex and challenging renewable energy projects.
Delivering assigned tasks on time and within budget.
Contributing to internal knowledge sharing initiatives.
Additional Information
Salary of up to £50,000 at assistant PM Level
Salary of up to £70,000 at PM Level
8% Employers Pension Contribution
