My client, a highly prestigious and globally recognised property consultancy, is seeking a Chartered Historic Building Surveyor to join their established Architecture & Building Surveying team in Exeter or Taunton offices. Role
Working within a multidisciplinary team of surveyors, architects and rural specialists, you will deliver a broad range of professional and project-based building surveying services, with a particular focus on heritage assets.
* Advising on the preservation and conservation of historic buildings
* Undertaking detailed building surveys and preparing reports
* Managing contract administration across a range of projects
* Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
* Delivering planned maintenance programmes and schedules of condition
* Regular client interaction, including advising on procurement routes, contractor appointments and statutory compliance
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact

Requirements
* MRICS qualified (or equivalent professional accreditation)
* Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
* Experience within building surveying, ideally with exposure to historic or listed buildings
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations, building regulations and health and safety
* Ability to manage client relationships and deliver work to a high professional standard
* Commercial awareness and project delivery experience
* Full UK driving licence
