Position: Academic Partnership Officer

Location: ON-SITE, London, Limeharbour campus, UK

Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Salary: £28,000 Per Annum

Job Overview

The Academic Partnership Officer is responsible for helping to develop, manage, and nurture the Elizabeth School of London’s (ESL’s) university partnerships, ensuring that strategic processes are well supported and maintained. The Academic Partnership Officer is also responsible for ensuring that communication between ESL and university partners is consistent and fluid.

You will be joining a team of Academic Partnership Officers, each with a distinct focus, some on the academic aspects and others on partnership management. This role will predominantly concentrate on academic administrative work, mainly by providing support to Academic Managers to facilitate the smooth running of ESL’s academic programmes. This includes, but is not limited to, managing complex data in spreadsheets, editing handbooks and resource documents, organising and attending meetings, taking minutes, and communicating with external and internal members of staff.

The ideal candidate has good interpersonal skills, is well organised, and can manage competing priorities under pressure while completing work to a high standard of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will vary, but the core responsibilities may include:

* Creating diagrams and trackers, taking minutes, and writing/editing handbooks and resource documents as required.
* Working independently to organise activities and events (plus schedules, diaries, meeting arrangements, etc.) while prioritising among sometimes-conflicting needs from different stakeholders.
* Liaising and clearly communicating with different members of staff and students to provide administrative assistance required by Academic Managers.
* Working closely with the Academic Managers to have a broad view of our employment lifecycle to assist with staff approvals.
* ·Working at a highly competent level with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Cross-checking student grades and inputting information into university systems such as SITS/Turnitin.
* Support Academic Staff and facilitate communication with a range of stakeholders with whom the Academic Managers are working, including students.
* Using excellent administrative and organisational skills and a good attention to detail.
* Organising and working well and patiently under pressure and prioritising a busy workload within a fast-paced environment.
* Providing support for Department Leads and the Head of the Department
* Creating VLE content such as exams and quizzes on behalf of module leaders
* Assisting with organising academic misconduct meetings and student resitss
* Assisting with suspected cases of academic misconduct by collating information and collecting evidence for student academic misconduct panels

Education and Qualifications

Essential:

* Command of written and spoken English at native level or equivalent (e.g., IELTS Band 8)
* A degree-level qualification in a relevant subject area
* At least 1 year of experience in an administrative and/or customer-facing role
* Excellent IT skills, including in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
* Evidenced ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative, and ability to work under pressure. Evidence of teamwork and interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills

Desirable:

* Masters degree in a relevant subject area
* Experience in administrative work at a higher education institution in the UK
* Experience using platforms such as SITS, Turnitin, Blackboard, Moodle
