Our Banbridge based Client have an opportunity for an experienced Robot Welder, to join an industry leader in UK's Building Services sector, delivering a wide range of off-site prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe. As the Robot Welder, you will be required to Weld a range of pipe arrangements that have been Fabricated by your Team. You will possess the ability to produce welds by GMAW with the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to our clients in house welding procedures.
Job Summary
Hours : Mon - Thurs 7am -, Fri 7am -
Salary : Competitive depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
1. Take direction from Site Supervisor on work requirements, ensuring Pipes are welded in a prompt manner and production output figures are met.
2. Read and fully understand the drawings for each project.
3. Weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel ranging from 125mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
4. Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
Essential Criteria:
5. Minimum of 3 years' Programming, Setting and Operating a Robot Welding Machine in an Engineering Environment.
6. Minimum of 3 years' operating as an established experienced Welder, that includes GMAW.
7. To have an in-depth knowledge of Weld Defects.
8. Proven Experience efficiently troubleshooting and resolving problems that may arise during the welding process.
9. The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
10. Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders etc.
11. Confident in understanding shopfloor drawings
Desired Criteria:
12. Previous experience as a Welder, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG.
13. Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
