Primary Responsibilities
As an Assistant Project Manager, your primary responsibilities include:
* Assist with negotiations, scopes of work, change orders, submittals and RFIs.
* Help manage construction drawings, specifications and related documents.
* Take a leadership role in the QA/QC process, material expediting and tracking.
* Aid in the management of subcontractors and other team members.
* Ensure all onsite operations are conducted safely, on-time, on-budget and to our quality standards
* Build strong client/owner relationships and support business development efforts.
* Coordinate the purchasing of essential safety supplies, products, or training items.
What You Bring to Us
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field is ; or 3-5 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in construction management of multifamily, tenant fit out or hospitality renovation projects in the $1 million - $10 million dollar range
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of project budgeting and job costing
* General contracting and/or construction subcontracting experience
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Proven supervisory/management skills and ability to motivate/manage team
