Main duties of the job
To provide general medical services at Queens Road Surgery, providing services for registered patients.
To provide high quality primary care services to the practice population as required by the Practice in line with approved protocols and evidence based medical practice.
To manage a caseload, dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, at all times ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
To undertake all duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

We are a well-established and highly regarded training practice located in a modern, purpose-built surgery in Shotley Bridge. Our strength lies in our multidisciplinary team and collaborative working culture.
Our clinical team includes GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, a Mental Health Nurse, a Diabetic Nurse Specialist, and a Social Prescriber. This is supported by a strong and experienced management team.
We are proud to be a teaching practice and regularly host GP trainees, foundation doctors, and medical students. We work closely with our Primary Care Network (PCN) to enhance services for our patients.
Team wellbeing and communication are priorities we hold daily coffee breaks for informal peer support and case discussion, and we have a structured meeting schedule including clinical meetings, safeguarding updates, whole team meetings, and protected learning time.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified GP.
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP.
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
* Full GMC Registration.
* National Performers List registration.
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
