What you'll be doing? *6month Fixed Term Contract Role*Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships. While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business. Within our Group HR function, we provide industry leading and award winning learning and development. You’ll develop and most importantly deliver these National programmes. With a passion for continuous learning, strong communication and interpersonal skills. Working in a fast paced, ever changing environment you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of these programmes supported by our Management Development Manager. You will be expected to:
1. Design and deliver Learning and Development solutions aligned with and supporting our Investing in our People priority
2. Project Manage the delivery of a number specific group-wide key L&D activities, for example functional academies and/or Management / Leadership development programmes
3. Support and advise on the design, delivery and evaluation of development aspects of our Degree Apprenticeship, trainee programme and Graduate Future Talent programmes as required
4. Lead the design and development of specific local training and development interventions where required, partnering with HRBPs and other key stakeholders to ensure they can be applied successfully at a regional level
5. Integrate on-line learning approaches and content to programmes, developing story-boards of on-line programmes where required
6. Contribute to continuous development of HR by taking part in priority cross-functional HR projects
7. Influencing key stakeholders and managers to ensure alignment and embedding of culture change and ways of working which support the operational business objectives
8. Act as an ambassador for all Group initiatives as required, supporting the People Strategy
9. Manage evaluation of new & existing learning interventions
10. Leading continuous improvements proactively by using a blended approach in order to measure & demonstrate value & return on business investment
11. Source, negotiate and manage external suppliers/ 3rd parties to ensure improved & smooth running of programmes to support business strategy within budgetary constraints
What you'll need? To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
12. You to be experienced in working remotely with the flexibly to plan and deliver training in line with organisational needs
13. A background in delivering training to all levels up to Middle Management with proven experience in delivering a broad range of learning interventions
14. You to hold a full driving licence as you will have a national remit with overnight stays being required
15. Great IT skills including experience in the use of e-learning packages as you’ll be using our Learning Management System – writing, testing and uploading materials
16. You to be CIPD qualified (or equivalent)/ corporate membership
17. You to have a knowledge of psychometric testing such as MBTi 360 Assessments
18. Sound delivery, innovation and facilitation skills
19. You to be able to work on own initiative with the drive to take ownership of projects
20. A Creative thinker – who looks beyond the traditional approaches to developing others by using different L & D methodology
21. You to have strong influencing and consultation skills and be a confident communicator at senior management level
22. You to be commercially aware with strong negotiation skills and budget management experience
