Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of projects and assist with the financial management across the build lifecycle, including:
* Assisting with project cost control from initial estimates through to final accounts
* Working closely with architects, engineers and contractors to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Supporting the preparation and evaluation of tenders, contracts and variations
* Providing cost advice and contributing to value engineering exercises
* Maintaining accurate cost reports and financial records
* Supporting professional and positive client interactions
Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
* Experience within high-end or high-spec residential construction (or a strong interest in this sector)
* Good understanding of Quantity Surveying principles, cost management and budgeting
* Knowledge of construction methods and building regulations
* Exposure to contract administration and project cost control
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Competence using construction or estimating software
* A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
