Assistant Food and Beverage Manager – Part-Time
Location: Loch Leven | Contract: Permanent | Hours: Part-Time, 3 days per week (regular weekend working is part of this role) | Salary: £25,847.00 - £26,151.00 Pro Rata
Responsibilities
* Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the day-to-day running of the café, in line with RSPB procedures and routines.
* Maintain excellent quality of service and care for customers; supervise and organise the team; make barista coffees and serve customers.
* Assist with office tasks, stock control, placing orders, and cleaning.
* Deputise for the Food and Beverage Manager when required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven track record of working in a busy and successful catering environment.
* Focus on delivering an exemplar customer service experience.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to share knowledge confidently and with enthusiasm.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload; problem solving and ability to work on own initiative.
* Sound understanding of systems and procedures for running a commercial catering operation.
* Experience with stock management systems and stock controls.
* Ability to motivate, influence and supervise/train staff and volunteers.
* Computer literacy, including Excel spreadsheets.
About Loch Leven
RSPB Scotland Loch Leven forms part of the Loch Leven National Nature Reserve and is made up of important wetland and woodland habitats. The site hosts diverse wildlife and is accessible from the Loch Leven Heritage Trail.
