Overview
Our Principal Consultant, Robin Thomas, is seeking an energetic Branch Manager to join a reputable and successful company in the fluid power industry. The client specialises in high quality, economical industrial hose, hydraulics and associate site services. The Branch Manager is required to manage the entire Glasgow office. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, proactive, a team player, and have management and P&L experience.
Responsibilities
* Assume responsibility for the branch P&L, ensuring profitable sustainable growth.
* Take overall responsibility for the day to day running of the branch by providing support to the sales and workshop teams and ensuring that the branch runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Work closely with all teams to ensure customers requirements are met and delivered on time.
* Attend customer sites and regularly interact with and build relationships with customers.
* Attend bi-annual Branch Managers meetings, held across all company branches.
* Support the administrative tasks within the sales office ensuring that documentation produced is accurate and in line with company procedures.
* Supervise internal sales team or raise actions with senior management as part of the support line.
* Promptly action customer enquiries and leads.
* Direct and coordinate new and potential enquiries to appropriate Technical and Sales support staff.
* Advise and discuss with purchasing future inventory requirements or changes based on new and potential business as they occur.
* Ensure adequate staff levels to cover absences and peak workloads.
* Ensure all personnel matters are resolved in accordance with the company guidelines.
* Carry out performance appraisals with all team members on an ongoing basis, sustaining a culture of development and personal growth.
* Support other branches as and when required with their goals.
