This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join an incredibly strong and collaborative team within our school.
The main responsibilities of post include:
* Provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning.
* Supervising classes during the short-term absence of the teacher.
* Receive and supervise pupils excluded from, or otherwise not working to, a normal timetable
* Participate in comprehensive assessment of pupils to determine those in need of particular help
* Promoting good behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policies, encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their behaviour.
* Encouraging pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities
* Providing individual and small-group support for pupils' emotional and social development.
* Maintaining a safe and calm learning environment where all pupils feel included.
* Helping pupils to become more independent in their learning.
* Use specialist (curricular/ learning) skills/ training/ experience to support pupils
* Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
